How to Organize a Baby Shower

Author: cyrussummy
In many cultures, baby showers are organized whenever a birth of a child is nearly approaching or whenever there is a recent birth of a child. Baby showers are held to celebrate a milestone in a mother’s life. If you are planning to have a baby shower, here are some tips to organize a fun baby shower.

If you are planning to hold a baby shower before the baby is due, set a date weeks before the big day. If the party is held in advance, the mother still won’t feel physical pains usually experienced during the later stages of pregnancy.

Create games that will surely entertain everyone. The games don’t have to be very challenging for the participants. Create games that are easy yet fun. Make the guests feel like they’re children with these games. It is also important to have games wherein the guests will have an interaction with one another. By doing so, you introduce guests to one another.

Select a theme for the party. You may base the theme on the gender of the baby. If the baby is a boy, you may decorate the whole place with blue, and if the baby is a girl, you may decorate it with pink. Selecting a theme ahead of time will help you decide on what type of decorations will be seen at the party. For example, if you decide to have a tropical theme at the party, fruit decorations or fruit arrangements should be seen at the whole place.

Select the time of the day when the party is going to be held. Deciding on the time of the party will help you create the party’s menu. Serve treats that are delightful to the eyes ─ have cupcakes of different shapes and colors, make animal-shaped biscuits, etc. Be creative when it comes to the decorations and table centerpieces. Edible centerpieces like fruit arrangements are often well received by party guests.

Give guests souvenirs and take home gifts. It will be less expensive and more creative if you create the souvenirs yourself. Don’t allow your guests to leave without taking home a cupcake or a treat. You may give fruits from the fruit arrangements you have in the party as a memorable souvenir.
